The Rite
It's been a while since I have been excited about a good old possession movie. The Rite Anthony Hopkins a great actor and beautiful shots make it look like a real interesting movie. May not live up to the great movie "the Exorcist" but you never know...

Anthony Hopkins is, or was indeed a great actor. He was Hannibal in the Silence od the Lambs, and the sequel to it, horrifyingly based on factual cases , and in particualr one psycopath. I haven't seen 'The Rite.' But I did see the Exorcist a couple of years ago, and for it's time, I thought the special effects were incredibly good.

A frightening film of possession. Not sure that I believe in that particular phenomenon, or 'Demons' for that matter, but, as usual, I like to keep an open mind.

RE: The Rite
I don't believe in a true possession but I can see how some people can be over whelmed by something. I have seen some clairvoyants lock on to an emotion to the point where they are overwhelmed by it. Then they have to be pulled out of it or "ground" them selves from the emotion. Afterward you can see the effect on them.

RE: The Rite
I love this movie... Dam that girl knew how to play a creepy little girl...
The story line was pretty modern for that time too, showing the use of early CT scans.
Everyone was flawed in the movie... Making them more believable characters. I hate to say it gogo you might be right.
